An Uxbridge man is facing charges following a single-vehicle collision in Ramara Township.
According to the OPP, officers were were notified of a collision involving a single vehicle on Concession Road 7 around 6 a.m. Sunday (Feb. 14).
“It was reported that the driver was unconscious behind the wheel,” reads a media release.
As officers arrived at the scene, they found the driver conscious and responsive and were given cause to begin an impaired driving investigation, police said, and later determined that he was a prohibited driver.
The driver was treated for minor injuries at the scene.
Johnathan Schell, 22, has been charged with operation while impaired – alcohol, operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus) and operation while prohibited.
He is scheduled to appear in Orillia court on April 20.
