
Three people are facing charges after police were called regarding an alleged assault with a weapon in Beaverton Saturday (Feb. 13) evening.
According to the DRPS, a victim reported being assaulted by two suspects and threatened by a third at a motel on Osborne Street around 7 p.m.
“Two suspects who assaulted the victim fled the area on foot,” reads a social media post.
“With the assistance of the Tactical Support Unit and K9, suspects (were) located hiding behind a store nearby.”
The victim did not sustain any injuries, police noted.
Alan Cliffe, 39, of Barrie has been charged with assault with a weapon. Jacqueline Adams, 31, of Barrie has been charged with uttering threats. Both were released on an undertaking.
Thomas Somerville, 46, of Brock Township has been charged with assault with a weapon and fail to comply with undertaking. He was held for a bail hearing.
