Despite rumours making the rounds, the Durham Region Health Department has not launched a waiting list for the COVID-19 vaccines.
“The Durham Region Health Department does not yet have any vaccine and may not for weeks and months to come,” reads a statement on social media.
With limited supply of the vaccine currently, there is no timeline for when it will be offered to members of the general public.
“The COVID-19 vaccination plan for the broader population of Durham Region residents will be available as more information is received from the Province. When this occurs, the health department will communicate details of the plan through our usual channels and by providing public information to local media outlets to help inform our community,” reads a notice on the Region’s website.
“Health care partners will continue to receive information through the Health Department’s normal process of communication.”
