Driver of snow machine airlifted following collision in Kawartha Lakes

The driver of a snow machine was airlifted following a collision in Kawartha Lakes.

According to the OPP, officers responded to the collision at the intersection of Victory Grove Road and OFSC 103B MSV trail around 1:15 p.m. Sunday (Feb. 7).

Police say that initial investigation indicates that the collision involved a motor vehicle which had been travelling east on Victory Grove Road and a motorized snow vehicle which had been travelling north on the trail.

The operator of the snow machine was transported from the scene via ambulance to a local area hospital and then flown via Air Ornge to a Toronto area hospital.

The investigation is ongoing.
