Woodville woman charged with impaired driving

A Woodville woman has been charged after police in Kawartha Lakes received a tip about a possible impaired driver.

According to the Kawartha Lakes Police, officers responded to the report shortly after 2 a.m. on Friday (Feb. 5).

“An officer located and stopped the vehicle travelling westbound on Highway 7 in Lindsay. While speaking with the driver, the officer determined the driver was impaired and placed under arrest,” reads a media release.

Sarah Duarte, 41, of Woodville has been charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle – alcohol and drugs.

She is scheduled to appear in Lindsay court on April 15.
