
Two new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Brock Township over the weekend, bringing the total to 53 since the pandemic emerged.
According to the update Sunday (Feb. 7) from the Durham Region Health Department, the two most recent cases are the only active cases in the municipality. Both of the affected residents are in home isolation.
Overall, there have been 11,062 confirmed cases in Durham – 3,231 in Ajax; 2,450 in Pickering; 2,199 in Oshawa; 1,896 in Whitby; 810 in Clarington; 237 in Uxbridge; 184 in Scugog; and 53 in Brock Township. Two cases are under investigation.
A total of 327 residents are in home isolation, with 27 currently hospitalized.
A total of 287 deaths – including 215 at long-term care and retirement homes – have been attributed to COVID-19.
A total of 10,421 cases have been resolved, which represents 94 per cent of the total.
