A Port Perry man is facing charges after allegedly travelling at nearly twice the posted speed limit on Lake Ridge Road.
According to the DRPS, an officer stopped the vehicle near Medd Road around 11 a.m. Thursday (Feb. 4) for travelling 157 km/h in an 80-km/h zone.
The 21-year-old driver – whose name has not been released – has been charged with speeding, stunt driving and careless driving.
“His vehicle was impounded and licence suspended for seven days,” a social media post from the DRPS reads.
