
Lakeview Manor in Beaverton and Bon Air Long Term Care Residence in Cannington have secured additional provincial funding to combat the spread of COVID-19.
Long-term care homes in Haliburton-Kawartha Lakes-Brock are expected to receive more than $1.6 million in total, with the largest sum going to Lakeview Manor at $277,400.
Bon Air is slated to receive $38,000.
“Our government is focused on protecting our loved ones in long-term care homes by providing new funding to help reduce the risk of the virus from entering homes through enhanced prevention and containment measures,” said Haliburton-Kawartha Lakes-Brock MPP Laurie Scott.
“We will continue to do everything we can to help stop the spread of this virus and protect our most vulnerable and the staff who have been working tirelessly to keep them safe,” added Dr. Merrilee Fullerton, Minister of Long-Term Care.
“From the start of the pandemic, we have taken quick and decisive action to make sure that homes have access to the resources they need to care for our loved ones.”
