A stretch of McDonald Street in Port Perry has been closed after a transport truck hit a tree branch Tuesday (Jan. 26) morning.

While few details have been released, it appears as though the top of the truck hit a branch that was hanging over the street.

There is no timeline for reopening.

“Please plan your route accordingly,” reads a social media post from the DRPS.
