
A new case of COVID-19 has been reported in Brock, bringing the total to 49 since the pandemic emerged.
The update from the Durham Region Health Department Monday (Jan. 25) notes that four cases remain active locally, including two that were reported on Jan. 20.
Overall, there have been 10,288 confirmed cases in Durham – 3,020 in Ajax, 2,288 in Pickering, 2,003 in Oshawa, 1,775 in Whitby, 750 in Clarington, 224 in Uxbridge, 179 in Scugog and the 49 in Brock Township.
A total of 533 residents are in home isolation, with 47 currently hospitalized.
A total of 272 deaths – including 213 at long-term care and retirement homes – have been attributed to COVID-19.
A total of 9,436 cases have been resolved, which represents 92 per cent of the total.
