Brock Township to examine telephone, internet voting for next municipal election

More than two decades after adopting a vote-by-mail system, Brock Township is considering a switch to internet or telephone voting for the 2022 municipal election.

The possible change came up during budget deliberations on Monday (Jan. 25) with Clerk Becky Jamieson noting that “different options” would be examined heading into the election next year.

“Staff are looking at phone and internet voting,” she told members of council.

A report to council should be completed in the next few months.
