Clarington man dead following snowmobile collision

A Clarington man is dead following a snowmobile collision near Newtonville over the weekend.

According to the DRPS, officers were called to the serious collision — which occured on private property — around 8:30 p.m. Saturday (Jan. 23).

“A 63-year-old-male was operating a snowmobile on a laneway when he was ejected from the vehicle. The male was transported to a local hospital, and later transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre with life-threatening injuries.

The man died in hospital Sunday (Jan. 24), police said.
