Three new cases of COVID-19 reported in Brock in recent days

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Brock for three straight days, bringing the total to 42.

There are currently eight active cases in the township, with seven individuals in home isolation and another in hospital.

Overall, there have been 8,924 confirmed cases in Durham – 2,613 in Ajax, 2,008 in Pickering, 1,726 in Oshawa, 1,550 in Whitby, 633 in Clarington, 187 in Uxbridge, 137 in Scugog and the 42 in Brock Township. An additional 28 cases are under investigation.

A total of 1,159 residents are in home isolation, with 47 currently hospitalized.

A total of 245 deaths – including 202 at long-term care and retirement homes – have been attributed to COVID-19.

A total of 7,473 cases have been resolved, which represents 84 per cent of the total.
