
A 56-year-old Oshawa man is dead following a single-vehicle collision early Sunday (Jan. 10).
According to the DRPS, officers were called to the scene shortly before 3 a.m. on King Street, east of Harmony Road, in Oshawa.
Police say the man’s Honda Civic was travelling east when it left the roadway and collided with a hydro pole on the north side of the road.
The man, whose name has not been released, was rushed to a local trauma center where he was later pronounced dead.
“The roads in the area were closed for several hours while evidence was collected. The cause of the collision remains under investigation,” reads a media release from police.
