A Huntsville man has been charged with sexual assault and fraud following a police investigation.
According to the OPP, a multi-jurisdictional investigation began back in May after a victim alleged that they did not get paid for services rendered.
“During the investigation, numerous multi-jurisdictional incidences dating back to 2010 were identified and additional victims came forward with similar complaints,” a media release reads.
A suspect was recently arrested in Orillia.
Tony Orr, 58, of Huntsville has been charged with three counts of sexual assault, two counts of fraud under $5,000 and one count of communicate with anyone for the purpose of obtaining sexual services.
He is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 26.
“Being a victim of any crime can be devastating. In these instances, the offender purposely chose highly vulnerable, marginalized individuals to victimize. Other victims may be out there and we ask that they contact the police if they have information,” said Detective Sergeant Andrew Taylor of the OPP’s Anti-Human Trafficking Unit.
