Two staff members at Beaverton veterinary clinic reportedly test positive for COVID-19

A COVID-19 outbreak has been declared at a Beaverton veterinary clinic after two of its staff members tested positive.

According to a social media post, Beaverton Crossroads Veterinary Services remains open for food and medication pick ups, urgent/emergency appointments and telemedicine consults only.

“We will have very limited staff on-site who are considered low risk and have negative test results. We do not have afterhours on call services available,” the post reads.

“We would like to stress that we do conduct our dealings with the public in a virtually contactless manner to eliminate any risk of pathogen transmission. We do encourage any clients who have visited our clinic in the last week to contact Telehealth to discuss your specific case if you are concerned. We thank everyone for the kind words, patience and support as we work through this as a team. We will continue to provide updates as we can.”

The business had essentially closed to the public on Tuesday (Dec. 8) for a “thorough disinfection” following potential exposure to COVID-19.
