Another new case of COVID-19 reported in Brock Township

A new case of COVID-19 was reported in Brock Township Saturday (Dec. 5).

It’s one of two active cases in the municipality and the 23rd in total.

Overall, there have been 4,871 confirmed cases in Durham – 1,468 in Ajax, 1,163 in Pickering, 857 in Oshawa, 840 in Whitby, 322 in Clarington, 133 in Uxbridge, 28 in Scugog and the 23 in Brock Township. An additional 37 cases are under investigation.

A total of 585 residents are in home isolation, with 27 currently hospitalized.

A total of 192 deaths – including 162 at long-term care and retirement homes – have been attributed to COVID-19.

A total of 4,067 cases have been resolved, which represents 83 per cent of the total.
