Brock Township is slated to receive $877,400 through the Ontario Municipal Partnership Fund in 2021.
The funding, which is the same amount the municipality received this year, was announced Friday (Nov. 27) in a media release from area MPP Laurie Scott.
“The OMPF is an important source of revenue for municipalities in HKLB and our government will continue to support the economic recovery through this local, stable, and adaptable funding,” she said.
In total, municipalities in the Haliburton-Kawartha Lakes-Brock riding will receive nearly $15.7 million in funding next year. Other recipients include Kawartha Lakes ($7.21 million), Highlands East ($1.97 million) Minden Hills ($1.81 million) and Algonquin Highlands ($1.26 million).
Nearly 390 municipalities receive funding through the program, which places a special emphasis on northern and rural communities.
