One suspect arrested, another sought following alleged assault in Beaverton

A 28-year-old man has been arrested and police continue to search for a 32-year-old woman following an alleged assault in Beaverton over the weekend.

According to the DRPS, officers responded to an assault call near Simcoe Street and Osborne Street around 8:30 a.m. on Saturday (Nov. 14).

“The victim had attended a friend’s residence to retrieve some personal items when she was assaulted by the male outside the residence,” reads a media release.

“The 32-year-old female suspect joined in and assaulted the female. A passerby stopped his vehicle and the suspects fled to their residence. The female suffered minor injuries and was treated by emergency services at the scene.”

Investigators executed a search warrant at the residence and arrested the male suspect and also reportedly seized a small amount of cocaine, cash and drug paraphernalia.

“The female suspect was not in the residence,” reads a media release.

The 28-year-old man, whose name has not been released, has been charged with assault, breach of probation, possession of property obtained by crime and possession for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine).

He was released on an undertaking.

While the media release notes that investigators are searching for 32-year-old female suspect, her name has not been released either.
