A man is facing drug charges following an assault investigation in Lindsay.
According to the Kawartha Lakes Police Service, officers received a report that a person had been assaulted on Monday (Nov. 16).
“The investigating officer obtained a description of the man responsible for the assault, and officers began searching the area of Wellington Street at William Street North for the suspect,” reads a media release.
“An officer found the suspect and placed him under arrest. Further investigation revealed the suspect was in possession of cocaine and Fentanyl.”
Charles Edward Quibell, 54, has been charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, and failing to comply with the conditions of his recognizance.
He is slated to appear in Lindsay court on Jan. 14.
