Parishioners at Trinity United Church are once again going the extra mile to help spread Christmas spirit to seniors in Cannington.
Volunteers are once again collecting gifts for the residents of Bon Air Long Term Care Residence.
“This year will be slightly different but so much more meaningful with the time that we have all been put through,” reads a social media post.
Those wishing to take part can submit an EMAIL to be given a resident’s name and the wishlist of items to purchase, along with other guidelines.
“We’re still looking for sponsors
Last year, more than 50 bags packed with holiday goodies were dropped off – one for each resident living at the long-term care facility.
Donations must be dropped off by Dec. 13.
“This will provide ample time for the quarantine process as well as labelling. The residents will be opening their gift on Christmas Day. We appreciate your continued support with this program,” the post reads.
