
Police have charged a second person and issued a warrant for a third person following a stabbing in Lindsay earlier this month.
According to the Kawartha Lakes Police Service, officers responded to reports of an assault at a William Street North address around 3:30 p.m. on Nov. 11 and found a 25-year-old man suffering from stab wounds.
“The victim was taken by Kawartha Lakes Paramedic Service to Ross Memorial Hospital and later transferred to a Toronto area hospital,” reads the initial media release.
“The victim’s injuries are considered to be serious but not life threatening.”
Mark McCrae, 51, of Lindsay was charged.
On Nov. 12, police arrested Dylan Carson Moffatt, 19, in connection with the stabbing. He has been charged with attempted murder, assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and aggravated assault.
“A warrant has been issued for a third person, 31-year-old Samuel Alex Ribeiro of Lindsay, for the offences of attempted murder, assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and aggravated assault,” reads a Nov. 16 release.
