Hundreds of households in Brock Township and surrounding area remain without power following Sunday’s (Nov. 15) storm.
The high winds — which reached speeds of more than 100 km at some points — felled trees and downed hydro lines not only in the area but through much of Ontario.
“Approximately 179,000 customers are without power following yesterday’s windstorm. Crews are on the ground working to assess damage and restore power,” reads a social media post from Hydro One earlier this morning.
The estimated time of restoration for many of the local outages is Wednesday (Nov. 18) at 8 p.m. according to Hydro One’s map.
