A Ramara Township man is facing impaired driving charges after a concerned citizen called police.

According to the OPP, the call was received shortly after 4 p.m. when the vehicle was at an Orillia business.

“The vehicle left the parking lot just prior to officers arriving but was located a distance away at a residence,” reads a media release.

Jesse Welch, 35, has been charged with operation while impaired – alcohol, operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).

He was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in Orillia court on Dec. 15.
