A 51-year-old man is facing charges after a stabbing in Lindsay.
According to the Kawartha Lakes Police Service, officers were notified of an assault that occurred within a residence on William Street North in Lindsay around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday (Nov. 11).
“When officers arrived at the home, they located a 25-year-old man suffering from stab wounds. The victim was taken by Kawartha Lakes Paramedic Service to Ross Memorial Hospital and later transferred to a Toronto area hospital,” reads a media release.
“The victim’s injuries are considered to be serious but not life threatening.”
Mark McCrae of Lindsay has been charged with assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, aggravated assault, failing to comply with the conditions of his undertaking and three counts of failing to comply with the conditions of his probation order.
He was held in custody pending a bail hearing Thursday (Nov. 12).
