Traffic complaint leads to impaired driving charges for Kawarth Lakes man

A traffic complaint has led to impaired driving charges for a Kawartha Lakes man.

According to the OPP, an officer responded to a traffic complaint pertaining to a vehicle being operated in an erratic manner and located the vehicle on Kirkfield Road.

The driver was charged following a traffic stop.

Mark Owen, 50, has been charged with operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs, operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus) and driving motor vehicle with liquor readily available.

He is scheduled to appear in Lindsay court on Jan. 14.
