A bomb threat against Port Perry High School has prompted a significant police presence in the area Monday (Nov. 9) afternoon.
According to the DRPS, the high school has been evacuated, while a hold and secure has been instituted at R.H. Cornish Public School nearby.
“This has delayed student dismissal times and police is working on a dismissal plan. Please avoid the surrounding area. We will provide an update once one becomes available,” reads a post from the Durham District School Board.
The hold and secure was lifted shortly before 4:30 p.m. but police remain at the scene.
