A new case of COVID-19 has been reported in Brock Township.
According to the update from the Durham Region Health Department Saturday (Nov. 7), the person involved in the most recent case – the 19th reported in the municipality and only active case — is in home isolation.
Overall, there have been 3,324 confirmed cases in Durham – 990 in Ajax, 919 in Pickering, 555 in Oshawa, 467 in Whitby, 227 in Clarington, 121 in Uxbridge, 26 in Scugog and the 19 in Brock Township.
A total of 238 residents are in home isolation, with 12 currently hospitalized.
A total of 182 deaths – including 153 at long-term care and retirement homes – have been attributed to COVID-19.
A total of 2,892 cases have been resolved, which represents 87 per cent of the total.
