The operator and owner of a dump truck and trailer are facing numerous charges after an alleged stunt driving incident on Highway 12 Friday (Nov. 6) morning.
According to the DRPS, the vehicle was stopped near Scugog Line 4 after being clocked at 131 km/h in the posted 80-km/h zone.
“The truck was seen weaving in and out of traffic making it unsafe for other road users and failed to stop for police,” reads a social media post.
The 31-year-old driver did not have a licence, police noted, and the vehicle was seized.
Charges laid include speeding, stunt driving, fail to stop for police, drive commercial vehicle – no licence, careless driving and vehicle modified – no permit.
