UPDATE: A male was apprehended shortly before 1 p.m. and the hold and secure was lifted.

Several schools in Oshawa have been placed on a hold and secure following reports of an armed male in the area.

Affected schools include G.L. Roberts Collegiate and Vocational Institute on Chaleur Avenue as well as elementary schools in the area, according to a social media post from the DRPS.
