Police release photos of suspect following armed robbery at Pefferlaw bank

Police have released photos of a man that robbed a bank in Pefferlaw last week.

According to the York Regional Police, officers called to a bank at 254 Pefferlaw Road for a report of a bank robbery around 2:30 p.m. Friday (Oct. 23).

“Officers learned that a male entered the bank and made a demand for money while pointing a Taser at an employee. The employee complied and the suspect fled on foot,” reads a media release.

The suspect is described as white, 40 to 50 years of age with a slim build and short dark hair. He was wearing a black T-shirt, a black surgical mask, a green construction jacket at the time of the robbery and carrying a re-usable grocery bag.

“Investigators are seeking any witnesses who may have seen anything suspicious or anyone who may have dashcam footage in the area at the time,” a media release reads.
