Police in Kawartha Lakes are searching for a suspect following an armed robbery at a bank in Coboconk.

According to the OPP, officers were called to the branch around 8 a.m. Sunday (Oct. 25) after a person using an ATM was approached by an unknown suspect brandishing a conducted energy weapon and demanded cash.

“The suspect fled the area on foot. No one was injured in this occurrence,” reads a media release.

The suspect is described as male, roughly 5’6″ in height and approximately 40 years of age. He has black hair and was wearing a black jacket, black mask and a black toque.
