
A Lindsay woman has been charged after a concerned citizen reported a suspected impaired driver Monday (Oct. 19).
According to the Kawartha Lakes Police Service, a witness reported seeing a vehicle collide with a stop sign in a parking lot on Kent Street West around 5:45 p.m.
“ The vehicle then left the parking lot but was located by officers at the registered owner’s residence,” reads a media release.
“Further investigation led to the arrest of the driver, a 59-year-old Lindsay woman.”
Lorraine McInnes has been charged with operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs and operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration 80 plus.
She is scheduled to appear in Lindsay court on Dec. 17.
