Smile Cookie campaign raises more than $6,100 for Sick and Injured Animal Fund

The recent sale of Smile Cookies at the Beaverton Tim Hortons raised more than $6,100 in support of the Brock Township’s Sick and Injured Animal Fund.

The money raised will be used towards ensuring the health, safety and welfare of animals in Brock Township according to a press release.

“We are so thrilled that the Beaverton Tim Hortons selected us as the recipient of the Smile Cookie Campaign. The proceeds will allow us to continue to provide excellent care to sick and injured animals,” said Lisa Jarrett, the acting supervisor of bylaw enforcement and animal control for the Township of Brock.

“This year, we had the pleasure of partnering with the Brock Animal Shelter during our Smile Cookie Campaign. The Brock Animal Shelter’s efforts greatly reflect the values of the community and we are honoured to work with them again,” said Sherry Bottan, operations manager for the Beaverton Tim Hortons.

Across the country, the campaign raised more than $10.5 million – a new record – for 550 charities.

“We were absolutely blown away by the generosity of Canadians for our annual Smile Cookie campaign,” said Tim Hortons Chief Marketing Officer Hope Bagozzi.
