A new case of COVID-19 has been reported in Brock, bringing the township’s total to 17.
According to the update from the Durham Region Health Department Thursday (Oct. 15), the person involved in the most recent case – the only active case in the municipality — is in home isolation.
Overall, there have been 2,482 confirmed cases in Durham – 747 in Pickering, 704 in Ajax, 384 in Oshawa, 325 in Whitby, 165 in Clarington, 114 in Uxbridge, 26 in Scugog and the 17 in Brock Township.
A total of 124 residents are in home isolation, with seven currently hospitalized.
A total of 181 deaths – including 152 at long-term care and retirement homes – have been attributed to COVID-19.
A total of 2,170 cases have been resolved, which represents 87 per cent of the total.
