An error by the provincial government has resulted in an additional case of COVID-19 incorrectly being reported at McCaskill’s Mills Public School in Cannington.

The WEBPAGE launched by the Ministry of Education currently lists two confirmed cases at the school though only one has been reported, according to staff at the Durham District School Board.

“There is only one confirmed case at the school,” said Charles Senior, a communications officer with the DDSB.

“The Ministry’s tracker is incorrect and we are following up with them about this.”

The DDSB also maintains its own COVID-19 WEBPAGE that lists active cases in schools.

The case reported at McCaskill’s Mills on Sept. 30 is no longer active, according to an update Wednesday (Oct. 14).
