Two new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Brock Township, bringing the local total to 16.
The update Thursday (Oct. 1) from the Durham Region Health Department notes that the residents involved in the four active cases are in home isolation. The other 12 cases have been resolved.
Overall, there have been 2,201 confirmed cases in Durham – 690 in Pickering, 617 in Ajax, 334 in Oshawa, 274 in Whitby, 134 in Clarington, 111 in Uxbridge, 25 in Scugog and the 16 in Brock Township.
A total of 133 residents are in home isolation, with two currently hospitalized.
A total of 181 deaths – including 152 at long-term care and retirement homes – have been attributed to COVID-19.
A total of 1,885 cases have been resolved, which represents 86 per cent of the total.
