
A Lindsay man has been charged after allegedly making threats to cause harm to a Canadian MP.
According to the Kawartha Lakes Police Service, the RCMP shared information about the threat on Monday (Sept. 28).
Following an investigation, a 42-year-old Lindsay man was charged with threatening to commit an offence against an internationally protected person and uttering a threat to cause bodily harm.
“The man was held in custody to attend a bail hearing, and was later remanded into custody,” reads a media release.
“As this investigation is ongoing, the name of the accused is not being released at this time.”
