Two new cases of COVID-19 reported in Brock Township

Two new confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Brock Township, bringing the local total to 14.

The update Sunday (Sept. 27) from the Durham Region Health Department notes that the residents involved in the three active cases are in home isolation. The other eleven cases have been resolved.

Overall, there have been 2,121 confirmed cases in Durham – 673 in Pickering, 591 in Ajax, 323 in Oshawa, 260 in Whitby, 125 in Clarington, 111 in Uxbridge, 24 in Scugog and the 14 in Brock Township.

A total of 100 residents are in home isolation, with two currently hospitalized.

A total of 181 deaths – including 152 at long-term care and retirement homes – have been attributed to COVID-19.

A total of 1,838 cases have been resolved, which represents 87 per cent of the total.
