The move to an online platform didn’t deter Brock Township residents from taking part in the Terry Fox Run Sunday (Sept. 20).
More than 40 participants raised $6,000 at the Beaverton location – doubling last year’s total.
“Every year this community has amazed me,” said Crystal Doucette, who has organized the Beaverton event since 1995.
“Even in a year when we couldn’t physically come together to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Marathon of Hope, we managed to virtually come together.”
