Sunderland woman succumbs to injuries following motorcycle collision

A Sunderland woman has died following a collision involving a motorcycle and a pick-up truck in Kawartha Lakes Sunday (Sept. 20).

According to the OPP, the collision occured just after 3 p.m. at the intersection of Cambray Road and Opmar Road.

“The passenger on the motorcycle sustained serious injuries and was subsequently transported by air ambulance to a Toronto area hospital,” reads a media release.

“Minor injuries were sustained by the driver of the pick-up truck and motorcycle. These injuries were treated at a local hospital.”

The passenger, 51-year-old Jennifer Jones of Sunderland, succumbed to her injuries in hospital Wednesday (Sept. 23).

The collision is still under investigation.
