Online fundraiser organized for family of Sunderland man killed in farming accident

An online fundraiser has been organized for the family of a Sunderland man killed in a farming accident.

While no information has been released by the DRPS, 32-year-old Mac Parsons died Friday (Sept. 18) leaving behind a wife, Jen, and three young children – nine-year-old Sierra, seven-year-old Wade and five-year-old Charlie.

“We miss you Mac, you were a driven and honorable man. You took pride in creating, raising and supporting your beautiful family. Your love for Jen, Sierra, Wade and Charlie was incomparable,” reads the fundraising post.

“To honour your memory, we will continue to hold Jen and the kids in our hearts. Don’t worry, Mac Daddy – we got you. Your community will rise to the occasion and take of care of your family. But please send your love down for them, as that will be something we know we won’t be able to match. But we will try our darnedest.”

The INITIATIVE has raised more than $13,000 as of noon Wednesday (Sept. 23).

“Mac was never supposed to leave this early. He was too good, too young, and oh so loved by so so many. An admirable man. A loving son and caring brother, who grew to be the epitome of a perfect husband and doting dad. Not to mention just an outstanding and solid friend,” said Kayla MacKay, organizer of the fundraiser.
