
A new confirmed case of COVID-19 has been reported in Brock Township, bringing the local total to 12.
The update Tuesday (Sept. 22) from the Durham Region Health Department notes that the resident involved is in home isolation. The other 11 cases have been resolved.
Overall, there have been 2,063 confirmed cases in Durham – 659 in Pickering, 575 in Ajax, 312 in Oshawa, 249 in Whitby, 120 in Clarington, 110 in Uxbridge, 23 in Scugog and the 12 in Brock Township.
A total of 91 residents are in home isolation, with four currently hospitalized.
A total of 181 deaths – including 152 at long-term care and retirement homes – have been attributed to COVID-19.
A total of 1,787 cases have been resolved, which represents 87 per cent of the total.
