A Cannington man has been charged after allegedly being seen with a loaded rifle in the driveway of a home in the Beaverton area.
According to the DRPS, officers were completing a compliance check at a residence on Maple Beach Road shortly after 9 p.m. on Sept. 11.
“While approaching the residence, the officers witnessed a male exit a vehicle parked in the driveway. He crouched down beside the open passenger door of the vehicle holding the rifle,” reads a media release.
“Officers ordered the male to drop the firearm and he complied. The male was arrested without incident.”
Ronald Wretham, 32 of Country Lane in Cannington has been charged with five firearms charges including unauthorized possession of a firearm and careless storage of a firearm.
