Officers allegedly uncover Fentanyl, cocaine and cannabis after boat runs aground

Two Lindsay residents are facing multiple charges after officers allegedly uncovered drugs on a boat that had run aground.

According to the OPP, officers were called shortly after midnight Thursday (Sept. 3) after a resident in the area of Leslie Frost Lane reportedly watched the 33-foot vessel run aground and strike a dock.

β€œThe ensuing investigation indicated that two persons were on board at the time of the incident. Further investigation revealed the presence of Fentanyl, cocaine and cannabis,” reads a media release.

Peter Jackman, 53, has been charged for possession of a schedule I substance for trafficking – cocaine; possession of a schedule I substance for trafficking – opioid, other than heroin; possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000; fail to comply with probation order and fail to comply with release order – other than to attend court as well as a charge under the Cannabis Act (possession for the purpose of distributing).

He was held pending a bail hearing.

Katelynn Keeler, 33, has been charged with possession of a schedule I substance for trafficking – cocaine; possession of a schedule I substance for trafficking – opioid, other than heroin and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 as as well as a charge under the Cannabis Act (possession for the purpose of distributing).

She is slated to appear in Lindsay court on Dec. 3.
