
The trial of three men accused of killing Alex Perlmutter of Sunderland is set to get underway Tuesday (Sept. 8).
Levi Alexander, Lamar Cyrus and Vejay Alexander are all facing a charge of second degree murder in the shooting death of Perlmutter on March 27, 2019.
Shortly after 3 p.m. on March 27, York Regional Police responded to the area of Ninth Line and Aurora Road for a report that a man had been shot.
Perlmutter, 22, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators determined that the shooting occurred in a parking lot at Queensville Side Road and Highway 48. The victim was driven to the parking lot on Ninth Line by a witness.
Levi Alexander was arrested on May 1, while Cyrus and Vejay Alexander were apprehended and charged in July.
The trial will be held in Newmarket over the coming weeks.
