Some rough weather is on the way Thursday (Sept. 3) night.
Environment Canada issued a thunderstorm warning shortly before 8 p.m. that conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing wind gusts of up to 90 km/h.
“A line of thunderstorms continues to track through south central Ontario this evening. This line has a history of producing damaging wind gusts, but should gradually weaken over the next couple hours,” reads the warning.
“Strong wind gusts can toss loose objects, damage weak buildings, break branches off trees and overturn large vehicles. Lightning kills and injures Canadians every year. Remember, when thunder roars, go indoors.”
