
An Omemee man has been charged following a boat collision on Pigeon River, north of Peace Road.
According to the OPP, officers were called to the scene around 4:45 p.m. Thursday (Aug. 20).
“The collision involved two boats. There was a total of nine persons onboard the vessels. Civilians in the area assisted in returning boats and passengers to shore,” reads a media release.
Three people — two adults and a youth — were taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
A 66-year-old Omemee resident has been charged with operating a vessel in a careless manner.
