A Kawartha Lakes man has been charged with two counts of counselling to commit murder following an investigation by police.
According to the Kawartha Lakes Police Service, the investigation was prompted following alleged threats made by a male party.
“As a result of the investigation, officers arrested a male suspect on August 20 and have charged him with two counts of counselling to commit murder,” reads a media release.
The suspect’s name is not being released in order to protect the identity of the alleged victim, police said.
The suspect has been detained in custody pending a bail hearing.
