According to the Kawartha Lakes Police Service, a vehicle headed south on Heights Road collided with a vehicle traveling north just before 10 p.m.
“Immediately following the collision, a third vehicle which had been traveling south also struck the two vehicles,” reads a media release.
Police say nine occupants of vehicles involved in the collision were taken to local hospitals where they were treated for their injuries and have been released.
